How Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin Work
Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin all contain botulinum toxin, a safe and FDA-approved formula that blocks nerve signals from the brain to the muscles at the injection site. This causes the muscle to become temporarily “paralyzed,” which helps relax the skin above the muscle. The end result? Less visible frown lines, faded wrinkles, and smoother-looking skin.

The Main Differences Between Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin
It’s easy to think that there aren’t any differences between Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin, but there is actually a key distinction that can influence which anti-aging injection you end up choosing. Here’s that difference: Dysport and Xeomin are only approved for the treatment of frown lines. Botox, however, is approved for the treatment of crow’s feet and frown lines.
There are some minor differences in terms of how quickly you’ll see visible results, with Dysport results appearing sooner (1-2 days) than Botox and Xeomin (4-5 days). All results last about three to four months.
Finally, there can be some price differences between Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin. Units of Dysport and Xeomin are cheaper than Botox, but you may need more of the former to see the same results as the latter.
