You’ve definitely heard of Botox before, but what about its latest competitor, Newtox? This brand-new anti-aging injection – which is officially known as Jeuveau – has recently presented itself as a new competitor to Botox, bringing more choice to the anti-aging market.
But what exactly is the difference between Botox and #Newtox?
What is Botox?
Botox is an FDA-approved injection that uses the power of botulinum toxin to treat wrinkles and fine lines, particularly those on the forehead and around the eyes. Botox has been around for about twenty years and still remains one of the most popular anti-aging injections on the market, thanks to its fast delivery of noticeable results.
What is Jeuveau?
Jeuveau (which we affectionately refer to as “Newtox”) is a new anti-aging injection that was recently approved by the FDA for the treatment of frown lines and forehead wrinkles. Jeuveau works in a similar way to Botox and Xeomin in that it uses botulinum toxin to interrupt the signals between the brain and the nerve endings within the treated muscles. Without these nerve signals, the muscles are effectively “paralyzed,” which causes the skin above the muscles to gently relax. At this point, the relaxed skin looks “smoothed” over, resulting in less visible wrinkles and fine lines.
Botox & Jeuveau Consultations Available
Jeuveau is a great option for patients looking for a new alternative to Botox and Xeomin anti-aging injections.
How are They Different?
In truth, there aren’t too many differences between Botox and Jeuveau products. Both contain botulinum toxin as an active ingredient, and both injections are excellent at treating forehead wrinkles, frown lines, and even crow’s feet. Prices are about the same per unit, and results for both products typically last about three months.
Darlene is amazing.. so experienced and amazing (especially with her botox!) I would recommend!
