It seems as though there are plenty of dermal fillers available on the market today – and all of those fillers promise to help smooth away wrinkles and add volume to key facial areas. Two of the most popular fillers – Juvederm & Restylane – are adored by fans worldwide, and can be used to treat everything from facial wrinkles, thinning lips, and sallow cheeks.
But when it comes down to it, what are the actual differences between Juvederm & Restylane?
Differences Between Juvederm and Restylane
There aren’t too many differences between Juvederm and Restylane; in fact, a lot of practices treat them as interchangeable, as both fillers use hyaluronic acid gel to add volume at the injection site. But once we take a closer look at those hyaluronic acid gels, that’s where we start to see a difference.
No two dermal fillers have the same hyaluronic acid gel, which means each filler can be used for a certain need (like volumizing lips or adding volume to sallow cheeks). Juvederm’s hyaluronic acid gel is usually thicker than Restylane, meaning you’re getting more HA molecules with each injection.
Juvederm & Restylane Consultations Available
Some patients find that their Juvederm injection results tend to last longer than results from Restylane injections (9 months vs. 6 months, respectively).
Is Juvederm More Expensive than Restylane?
There are some price differences between the two dermal fillers. For example, because Juvederm contains more hyaluronic acid, it’s a little pricier than Restylane. Yet you may not need as many Juvederm injections to achieve your results, which may end up being better for your wallet.
Darlene is amazing.. so experienced and amazing (especially with her botox!) I would recommend!
